Senior Auditor

Key Tasks of Gaming Auditor

Conduct audits for Tribal casino and gaming enterprises under the National Gaming Commission (NIGC), the Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (TMICS), the Tribal/State Compact, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and followed any other regulatory guidelines, procedures, and policies as applicable.
Conduct an audit using the statistical sampling technique and observe and interview the employees involved in operations for the audit.
Assisting and coordinating with other departments for performing investigations relating to audit and accounting.
Assess the operations of the tribal gaming enterprise to analyze the effectiveness of managerial oversight and to determine the effectiveness of internal controls.
Review, interpret, evaluate, and document the processes, policies, and procedures to ensure the operations comply with the current regulations.
Articulate and present the audit findings to the Tribal gaming operations, management, and other stakeholders involved.
Keep updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and develop audit, accounting, and gaming regulations accordingly.
Perform other office and field duties as decided upon by the management.

Education & Experience

Graduate in accounting or finance from an accredited two-year community college with a minimum of four years of experience in regulatory audit.

Skills Required

Proficient in operating a personal computer, spreadsheet applications, and other applicable software. An analytical and critical thinker with the right set of time-management skills and decision-making abilities. Has attention to detail and the expertise to review large amounts of data. Must possess highly effective communication skills both orally and in writing, along with excellent interpersonal skills.
